DEMOS

Audio Demos

Most of my audio demos are recorded from either a point-and-shoot camera, or my iPhone, so please forgive the less-than-optimal audio fidelity. I have only tracked in a studio one time throughout my seven years of playing drums – but, hope to have more studio goodness to share soon. Shoot me an e-mail if you’d like any more audio clips.

Maker of My Days writing session – This was recorded the night before my first studio session with Todd Wright. There are no vocals, as we were strictly running arrangement on this pass.
O Foolish Heroes – Performed in Lufkin, Texas, with Clairmont in June 2010. This was a board mix, so apologies for the fluctuating mix.
Last Words – Performed in Lufkin, Texas, with Clairmont. Same show, same board mix issues.
Forever Changed – A short clip from a bridge build, chorus, and outro to Eddie Kirkland’s “Forever Changed”, lead by Daniel Vencil at Clear Creek Community Church’s “XNOW Weekend” in October 2010.

Video Demos

These videos were all shot with my Canon SD750 – which adds a ton of compression to the audio. I edit my own video, so take in account that a blind dude shot it, okay? Quality is mixed, but gives you a good idea.

Our God Above – “Our God Above” by Andy Melvin, performed by the Crosspoint worship team in 2008.
Promised One – “Promised One” by Todd Wright, performed by Ryan Finnerud and the Crosspoint worship team in December 2008. (Side note: Percussionist went a little nuts throughout the intro and such.)
Worship Confessional – December 2008 – A montage of video/audio clips from Crosspoint worship in December 2008/ You get to here me babble on about the effectiveness of worship, our music catalog, and how much I love Stephen Adams on bass.
Percussion Break – A percussion break in the Christie Cook song, “Anxious for Nothing”.

Musical Resume

Todd Wright

2002-Present

  • I’ve led worship and written music with Todd Wright for around eight years. We’ve led worship for many churches around the East Texas area, led camps in and outside of the state, and recorded a handful of tracks.
  • United Methodist Wesley Foundation

    2003-2006

  • I served as the music director for the United Methodist Wesley Foundation at Stephen F. Austin State University. My role was to lead a team, consistent of around 10 members, as well as serve on the Wesley Board of Directors. I handled vocal and instrumentation arrangements, technical details, such as projection and audio production, and maintained a web database for our music catalog.
  • Grace Bible Church

    2005-2010

  • I served on several worship teams within the church, including our Sunday AM, Crosspoint, and youth worship teams. I primarily played drums, but also had the opportunity to work on percussion, as well. One of our biggest achievements was performing Andrew Peterson’s “Behold the Lamb of God” in 2008.
  • Clairmont

    2009-2010

  • Played drums and percussion full-time, as well as management and booking for this independent, alternative rock band. We played in venues ranging from small clubs, coffee shops, to churches and church camps.
  • Shana Strange

    November 2010-February 2011

  • Shana Strange is a Christian worship leader and artist on the Lifestage / Mission House label, and recorded her first EP, “Rescue”, at Zodlounge in Nashville, TN. Shana has been received quite well on radio stations across the country, including regular rotation on the American Family Radio (AFR) network, and is set to play around 200+ events in 2011.
