I love the concept of reflection – and talk about it often with students, colleagues and my two kids.
Like gazing into a mirror, reflection is looking back at where we’ve been, what happened while we were there, what we learned and what we’d do differently if (and when) we face the same circumstances.
As I reflect, it’s often I’m contemplating a situation where I made a mistake or didn’t meet a goal.
I’ve been doing a lot of research on Generation Z these past few weeks – and there’s plenty of research which indicates this generation is terrified of failure. And you know what … I’ve been there.
But here’s what I know … The only failure in life is death. In all other circumstances, we have a chance to learn, grow and change our approach the next time life gifts us with a similar experience.
