Nothing binds humanity together than the intricate web of stories we share.
I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Public Relations in 2009, but my almost magnetic draw to story started long before my college career. I remember being a precocious little kid… maybe five or six… constantly lugging a tape recorder at my side, in fear that I’d miss something exciting in the world around me.
Today, no matter the place or project I find myself engaged in, I’m still unearthing the seemingly insignificant and captivating attention and action with the narrative that ensues.
My proudest moments are when I can tell a story that enacts a meaningful change for good in the world. I love working with nonprofits and small businesses, who grind each and every day to do bold, meaningful work in the communities they serve.
I founded Hero House Creative to do brand storytelling – but with a caveat. I believe businesses work relentlessly to script pieces that inflate their brand with bravado and heroism. There are good organizations out there.. but nothing beats telling a story where the customer is the one who saves the day. And ultimately, those are the stories I aim to capture and convey.
Story is powerful. It has the uncanny ability to command attention, captivate hearts and convict people to take action. It’s my hope you and I can craft a narrative that’s meaningful in the work you do, too!
